Head-on Collision with Truck Kills 1, Injures 7

CBS DFW reports on a fatal crash involving an SUV, a small tanker truck, and a pickup truck. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the head-on collision occurred on US 380 and resulted in one fatality, though officials originally thought the accident had killed two people.

When an SUV sideswiped a pickup truck, which was heading west in the left lane, it forced the pickup into the eastbound lanes. The pickup struck a different SUV that was heading eastbound head-on, and a tanker traveling eastbound proceeded to hit the SUV before rolling onto its side.

Responders airlifted at least two people involved in the collision to the hospital. Officials report that one person died in the collision, and seven others sustained injuries.
