Woman Dies after Rear-End Collision with Sanitation Truck

According to NBC DFW, a devastating crash between a sanitation truck and a passenger vehicle resulted in one fatality. The accident happened shortly before 1 p.m. on a Friday late last month.

Dallas Fire-Rescue and local police responded to the scene at South Central Expressway and East Illinois Avenue to find a severely damaged passenger vehicle. Responders were able to extract the woman from her car and performed CPR on her before transporting her to a local hospital, where she later died.

Investigators determined that the car rear-ended the sanitation truck. The collision remains under investigation.
